Lexus Australia will help push towards another fundraising record for the 2024 Lexus Melbourne Cup by supplying one if its most refined luxury vehicles – the all-electric RZ 450e Sports Luxury – as the major prize for the Victoria Racing Club's (VRC) annual Pin & Win charity fundraiser, with all proceeds this year supporting Ronald McDonald House Charities Victoria & Tasmania.
The Melbourne Cup Carnival set a new fundraising record of $548,000 last year and has raised more than $8 million for Australian charities via the sale of souvenir Lexus Melbourne Cup pins since 1995.
Ronald McDonald House Charities Victoria & Tasmania provides free 'home away from home' accommodation to families across both states while their seriously ill children undergo life-saving treatment.
Over 2,037 families have benefitted from RMHC VIC & TAS accommodation each year, with this year’s Pin & Win partnership aiming to raise a record amount which will cover 3,500 nights of accommodation.
In partnership with Pin & Win for the 16th consecutive year, Lexus Australia is proudly contributing an RZ 450e Sports Luxury vehicle as the major prize for 2024. Valued at $148,194, including on-road costs1, the RZ 450e Sports Luxury is the first dedicated luxury battery electric vehicle from Lexus, offering unrivalled refinement and smooth performance with zero C02 tailpipe emissions.
The RZ 450e Sports Luxury has many Lexus innovations, including a split panoramic roof that at the touch of a button switches the roof panels from clear to opaque to cut out UV light, infra-red knee warmers for front seat occupants, and Intelligent Parking Assist2 aiding the driver with autonomous parking manoeuvre when called upon.
In anticipating the needs of customers, Lexus also offers the major prize winner a complimentary home charger and installation3 as part of its Lexus Encore Platinum Electrified4 owner benefits.

Pin & Win lapel pins will be available for purchase online, at Flemington Racecourse during race days and at a number of events throughout the Melbourne Cup Carnival. Pins are $10 for the Lexus Melbourne Cup pins and $15 for the diamante horseshoes.
