Lexus of SpringwoodGolf Tournament
The special order for sunshine at Links Hope Island was provided, with golfers arriving for the annual Lexus of Springwood Golf Tournament. Not only was there the option for 18 holes for our more experienced golfers, but we also welcomed any new golfers for the Beginner Clinic.
Our Lexus of Brisbane Group Ambassadors were floating around the course, with Chris Lynn and Kimberley Busteed featuring in one of the groups. Louis Tikaram, Head Chef of Stanley Restaurant gave a special treat to golfers on the 9th hole as they prepared to tee off on the green over the water. All of our golfers loved their Prawn Hargow’s and are looking forward to a meal at Stanley.
Pro Golfer Ash was stationed on the 2nd hole measuring our golfers ‘smash factor’ off their tee shot, and they were met with some police officers from PCYC Nerang on the 11th hole… not for their golf buggy speed, but to guess their ball speed from their drive! The lovely volunteers from the Wesley Kid’s were positioned on the 17th hole, collecting donations for a very important cause. Golfers were able to buy themselves a ‘hole-in-one’, all for charity, which was an important move for their overall points score to give them the best chance to take out the title.

The Beginner’s Clinic was taken by Golf Guru, David Thomas, where our new-comers had some shots on the driving range and learnt the intricacies of the pitching wedge and putters. All golfers came back to the club house to enjoy a buffet dinner, and eagerly awaited the prize announcement.
Congratulations to Andrew, Tim and Brad who successfully took out the title as the Champions of Lexus of Springwood. Competing against the winners of the 4 other dealerships, this team will progress to play at the Lexus of Brisbane Group Golf Championships for the inaugural Gordon Scifleet Cup at Brookwater in March 2023.
